What is Apple Pay?
Apply Pay is the fast, simple way to pay websites, apps, and in stores using the cards saved to your Apple Wallet.
Apple Pay makes it easy for your customers to complete their purchase on your checkout. A customer with a compatible mobile device or web browser can be offered Apple Pay as a payment option, quickly and easily selecting the cards already saved within their Apple Wallet.
Using Apple Pay also negates the need for a 3DS2 challenge, reducing friction and drop-outs at the checkout.

Simple Integration
The Encoded Gateway makes it simple to implement Apple Pay by providing a single consistent endpoint for processing all transaction types, including Apple Pay transactions.
The Gateway also provides Merchant Certificate management capabilities for Apple Pay, ensuring that it’s quick and easy to start processing Apple Pay transactions either via Encoded’s Hosted Payment Pages, or through your own checkout.
Flexible Checkout Options
If using Encoded’s Hosted Payment Pages, accepting Apple Pay transactions is as simple as checking a box to activate the functionality. You do not even need to create an account with Apple – Encoded handles all the heavy lifting for you.
If you have implemented your own checkout utilising Encoded’s Hosted Payment Fields, you can easily integrate your own implementation of Apple Pay to process transactions through Encoded, ensuring a consistent payment flow and reconciliations.
